On the 18th of December, my house was flooded. I live in a small town in Malaysia call Taman Sri Muda. And we got hit hard by a downpour (that's not even that heavy) that lasted about 48hrs. We lost almost everything on the first floor of the house. As well as probably me and my dad's cars. The water took too long to recede and a lot of mud had already caked into everything. So Patches, my hind-paralyzed kitty that I've cared for, for 9 years, passed away suddenly on Sunday midnight from a suspected toxin poisoning. It was due to the complications of her condition, she went down fast in 24hrs. In the two days she was sick I've seen 2 vets and went to an animal emergency hospital/vet, blood tests were done as well as life saving resuscitation measures when she was in a coma. (that she never woke up from) She was cremated and her ashes are with me in an urn now. She is now running around on all fours again beyond the rainbow bridge. 4 days after Patches passed away, my remaining healthy (but older) cat Silver, who haven't gotten sick in 5 years, suddenly started throwing up and having diarrhea. My heart and my wallet can only take so much stress and damage. Thankfully one of these can be mended easier than the other.
